A new, two storey house on a flat block a short distance to the beautiful Mona Vale Beach.

The proposed first floor granny flat was designed to sit separately above the double garage, giving the main residence a sense of privacy opening out onto the back of the block. The internal entry foyer connects the garage, granny flat and main residence, creating both separation between users and the opportunity for the occupants to use the house as a whole.

The external palette was directly inspired by the house’s natural surroundings. Soft neutral colours in materials which are intended to age and weather beautifully as a result of its proximity to the ocean air.
