A sympathetic restoration of a beautiful 1940s original North Avalon Beach cottage.

The clients brief was to renovate the original sun-lit two bedroom weatherboard cottage to better suit their lifestyle. Modest in scale and sympathetic to its origins, the new design utilized the high ceilings and subtle details of the original cottage. A new rumpus/guest room was added to the rear, with a master suite over enjoying views to North Avalon Beach. Large wrap around balconies softened the external façade whilst better connecting the indoor spaces with the outdoors.
